The Problem
Thousands of veterans and adults in Memphis live with mental health struggles. Many face unstable housing, unsafe environments, or homelessness. Getting better is almost impossible without a safe, supportive space to heal.
The Solution
- Stable housing in a caring environment
- Mental health support & peer mentorship
- Case management, life skills, and resource navigation
- Special focus on Memphis-area veterans
Our Mission
Gloria Jean Transitional Housing was founded in 2019 to serve individuals navigating halfway and transitional housing needs. We’re now refocusing our mission: to serve veterans and adults with mental health challenges in Memphis by providing supportive housing, care, and stability.
Our Vision
A Memphis where every veteran and adult with mental health challenges has a safe, stable place to call home and the support to thrive.
Why Veterans and Mental Health?
Veterans return from service only to face another battle: PTSD, anxiety, depression and often, unstable housing or homelessness. Adults struggling with mental health face stigma, job loss, broken relationships, and housing insecurity.
We believe healing starts with housing and that no one should walk through mental illness or trauma alone.
You Can Help Us Build Hope
We are currently raising funds to purchase and staff our first residential supportive housing facility. With your support, we’ll be able to offer:
- 6–10 safe beds for veterans and adults
- 24/7 case support
- Peer counseling
- Access to therapy and health resources
- Reentry support and life coaching
Every donation big or small helps us reach our goal.
